Renovation Waste Bins

Renovation Waste Bins

Planning a home makeover or office refurb? Our Renovation Waste Bins take the stress out of cleanup. Quick Bin Hire offers skip bins specifically for renovation debris, so you can toss all your old fittings and construction off-cuts in one convenient place. Whether you’re gutting a kitchen or revamping a shop, we’ll deliver the right bin for all the scrap – from broken plaster and timber to old cabinets and tiles. Focus on your remodel and let us handle the mess!

Renovation projects generate a mix of waste: chunks of drywall, wood framing, metal pipes, packaging, and more. With a renovation skip bin on site, you won’t have piles of junk cluttering your space. Simply toss everything in as you go – ripped-out carpet, old fixtures, even that outdated bathtub – to keep your work area clear. We’ll collect the bin when you’re done and dispose of the waste responsibly, recycling what we can.

What Can Go in a Renovation Bin?

  • Demolition debris: Plasterboard sheets, drywall pieces, wood studs, flooring scraps, and tile or roofing off-cuts.

  • Fixtures & fittings: Old cabinets, shelves, countertops, sinks, bathtubs, toilets, doors, windows, etc.

  • Mixed materials: Metal hardware (pipes, wiring, fixtures), plastic packaging, insulation bits, and other general rubbish from the project.

What Not to Put in a Renovation Bin

  • Asbestos or hazardous waste: If your building has asbestos (e.g. old cement sheeting), it cannot go in the bin. Also no chemicals, paint tins with liquid, fuel or other dangerous materials.

  • Pure concrete or soil: Some broken bricks or a little dirt is fine, but large volumes of concrete or soil should go in a dedicated Concrete or Soil bin.

  • Large tree waste: If your renovation involves outdoor work, don’t put big tree limbs or stumps in this bin (use a Green Waste bin for garden debris).

Renovation Waste Bin FAQs

Q: Can I throw old appliances and fixtures into a renovation bin?
A: Yes. We accept large appliances (ovens, stoves, washing machines, etc.) and fixtures like cabinets, sinks, toilets, doors, and more. The only exception is fridges or air-conditioners – please let us know about those, as they require special handling due to refrigerants.

Q: What if I find asbestos during my renovation?
A: Do not put asbestos materials in any skip bin. Asbestos (often in old walls, eaves, or tiles) must be removed by licensed professionals under strict regulations. If you suspect asbestos, stop work and consult a specialist – Quick Bin Hire cannot accept it.
